Costa Blanca
The azure waters lapping at the shores of miles of fine white sand beaches in Costa Blanca, are one of the reasons it is such a popular holiday resort in Spain. The capital of Alicante is the largest city on this stretch of coastline, although Benidorm attracts the majority of visitors to it every year, due to it's lively atmosphere and impressive range of bars, nightclubs and predominantly British restaurants. Costa Blanca may be known for crowded beach resorts, however it is also home to a panoramic mountainous interior, with many timeless medieval towns and villages situated around the mountain ranges.
Terra Mitica
Terra Mitica is Spain's largest theme park and is located just outside Benidorm. The park is home to a variety of white-knuckle rides, shows, shops and restaurants and is an ideal activity for a family holiday in Spain. The newest attraction to the park is an inverted roller coaster called Tizona, which reaches speeds of sixty-two miles per hour with passengers suspended beneath the track up to a height of thirty-one metres.
Castell de Santa Barbara
The Castell de Santa Barbara is an ancient castle dating back to the Carthaginians occupation in 400BC, which was later controlled by the Romans and the Moors. It towers over Alicante as an impressive fortress with wide moats, dungeons, drawbridges, towers, keeps and cisterns to explore. The ancient castle is rich with a historic atmosphere and the towers offer a wonderful view across the bay.

Museu de Arte del Siglo XX Asegurada
Located in the Plaza de Santa Maria in Alicante is the Museu de Arte del Siglo XX Asegurada, which is a former granary dating back to 1685. The building is now home to an impressive modern art collection, which includes paintings by Picasso, Miro, Calder Dali. The art museums collection was donated in 1977 by the sculptor and painter Eusebio Sempere and is ideal for visitors wanting to explore some culture while on holiday in Costa Blanca.

Elche
Visitors who wish to explore a little further than the local beaches can experience an adventure in Europe's only palm forest. The vibrant forest forms a lush oasis surrounding the city of Elche, which is home to many colourful parks and gardens. Hort del Cura is abundant with shade trees and blossoming flowers and the Parque Municipal is popular with families due to children's playgrounds and grassy promenades.

Isla Tabarca
The Isla Tabarca is a popular excursion for visitors to the region, offering an escape to a tranquil fishing village, with culinary delights at the excellent seafood restaurants. The Island also includes an ancient fort to explore, rocky beaches, secluded coves and tidal pools of warm turquoise waters to swim in. Isla Tabarca is situated only ten miles from Alicante and is only and hours ferry ride away from the Explanada d'Espanya dock.
