Roquetas De Mar
Roquetas de Mar dates back to Roman times, with a honeycomb of Moorish alleyways and quaint whitewashed houses on the rolling hillsides. The originally sleepy fishing village has developed into a popular tourist resort in recent years, with apartment buildings and hotels starting to dominate the coastline. The resort offers beautiful sandy beaches, with a variety of activity for visitors including, horse riding, sailing and scuba diving, to name just a few. The resort also has many amenities for tourists, including gift shops, restaurants and bars. An 18-hole golf course is located nearby at Playa Serena and the resort also houses a specially designated nudist beach.
