Blanes
Blanes is a Costa Brava holiday resort located at the most southern point of the region and is a popular Spanish and international resort. Originally a picturesque fishing village, Blanes has developed in to popular coastal region, due to its 2-mile stretch of sandy beaches and rugged coves. The beachfront offers a range of hotels and apartments and the town retains a rich historical atmosphere, with a variety of ancient buildings including the medieval castle of St Joan. In addition the town boasts two lush botanical gardens, several fiestas, traditional Spanish street markets and a real taste of Spanish culture.
