Costa Del Sol
The Costa del Sol region is on the Andalusian coastline, which stretches from Almeria to Tarifa and is a popular European holiday resort all year round. The region is made up of many fine sandy beaches and quaint towns, teeming with amenities and holiday accommodation. The area offers traditional attractions like bullfights and also tourist attractions like zoos, water parks, amusement parks and casinos. Torremolinos is the most known resort in Costa del Sol and it retains a traditional Spanish flavour regardless of the rising tourism.
Ronda is an enchanting historic town located on a towering plateau in the mountain ranges, which are situated thirty miles inland from Marbella. The town offers a cultural and Alpine break from the hot beaches of Costa del Sol and visitors can take a day trip to the town, which is rich in history from the medieval era to the eighteenth century. The town has a few cafes and restaurants where visitors can stop to soak up the historical atmosphere while trying some of the culinary delights on offer. The treasure trove of historical and cultural gems include: the oldest bullring in Spain, an excellent museum and the El Parador walkway along the river gorge, offering panoramic views of the encircling countryside.
