Dalyan
The quaint village of Dalyan is situated at the foot of the Dalyan River and is popular for day trips from nearby Fethiye. Visitors can take a boat ride from the local fishermen and explore the surrounding areas of interest, which include a mud bath at the Dalyan River banks, or a visit to see the Marine Turtles at Iztuzu beach. The Dalyan beach is unusual, with the crystalline waters of the sea at one side and the banks of the Dalyan River at the other, offering the opportunity for visitors to choose to swim in salt water or fresh water. The ancient Greek city of Kaunos is situated just a boat ride away from Dalyan and boasts the Temple of Apollon, an Acropolis and a Roman Bath and Fethiye is only an hours drive away and offer visitors the chance to see the Carian Rock Tombs.
