Kas
Kas is a wonderfully situated holiday resort in Turkey, located between two vertical cliffs with panoramic views of the dramatic rocky coastline. It is the second major resort in Turkey and although lacking in the traditional stretches of golden beaches, the rocky coast offers clear and unpolluted waters from the Mediterranean, a vast amount of outdoor activities. In addition Kas has a lively and flamboyant nightlife, which completes the holiday experience. Remains of mysterious sunken cities around the Kekova Island can be seen through the glass bottomed boat trips, with ancient civilisation just below the surface of the clear watery depths. Local archaeological sites include, Myra, Demre and Xanthos Valley and day trips can be easily arranged from Kas. The town of Kas was built on the relics of ancient Antiphellos and some of the historical attractions are the Lion Tomb, a Hellenistic theatre and the hillside rock tombs and despite the tourism development in the area, Kas is still a picturesque fishing village at it's heart and boasts cobbled streets and small town boutique shops.
